Overhere helps you turn a plan you're already making, like a movie, a coffee or a concert, into an outing with
company. You post a plan, people ask to join, and you choose who comes. By creating an account you agree to these
terms and to the community guidelines below. Please read them: they're short.
The short version
You must be 18 or over, and you must be yourself: your real name, age and gender.
Be respectful, show up when you say you will, and cancel early if you can't.
Overhere introduces people. It doesn't check everyone, run the meetups or handle money. Meet in public places
and look after yourself.
Not a dating app: no sexual messages or pressure, no selling, no spam.
Report anyone who makes you uncomfortable. We can remove content and accounts that break these rules.
1. What Overhere is
Overhere is a place to find company for things you're already doing in your city. It is not a dating app, a
ticketing or booking service, or an events company. We don't organise, attend, supervise or pay for any plan.
Plans are between the people who make and join them.
Overhere is a beta run by a small independent team. It is not yet a registered company. In these terms,
"we" and "us" mean that team.
Some hosts and plans are samples, made up so the app never looks empty. They are labelled "Sample". Nobody
real is behind them, and nobody will be at those plans, so don't go to meet anyone there.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old.
Use your real first name, your real date of birth and your gender identity. Don't pretend to be someone else,
and don't pick a gender to get into plans meant for a different group.
One account per person. Keep your sign-in details to yourself: you're responsible for what happens on your
account.
The face check is optional, but you need it to post a plan or ask to join one. Don't try to fool it, for
example with a photo, a video or someone else's face.
These apply everywhere on Overhere, including plans, join requests, profiles, group chats, and when you meet in
person.
Be respectful. No harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, or insults about anyone's
religion, caste, race, gender, sexuality, disability, or where they're from.
Not a dating app. No sexual messages, images or advances, and no pressure to meet one-to-one,
exchange numbers or go somewhere private. Take "no" the first time.
Be honest. Post plans you actually intend to go to, with the real time, place and costs. No
fake profiles, fake plans or misleading details.
Be reliable. Turn up when you've said yes. If you can't, leave the plan or cancel it as early as
you can, so others know.
Respect privacy. Don't share other people's messages, photos, phone numbers or details outside
the app without their permission, and don't photograph or record people without asking.
Nothing illegal or harmful. No drugs, weapons, gambling, violence, or anything that puts people
at risk. Keep drinking responsible, and never pressure anyone to drink.
No selling or spam. Don't use plans or chats to sell things, recruit, promote businesses or
events you profit from, ask for money, or post links to scams.
Keep it age-appropriate. Overhere is for adults only. Never bring anyone under 18 into the app
or a plan without the host's knowledge.
4. Meeting people safely
You'll be meeting people you don't know. Overhere doesn't do background checks, and the face check only confirms
that a real person made the account, not who they are or what they're like. Please:
Meet in busy public places, and make your own way there and back.
Tell someone you trust where you're going. The app can send your plan to your trusted contact in one tap.
Keep personal details, like your home address or workplace, to yourself until you trust someone.
Never send money to someone you met on Overhere, or lend them anything valuable.
Leave whenever you want: you don't owe anyone an explanation.
In an emergency, call 112. The SOS button in a group chat helps you call for help and alert your trusted
contact.
You're responsible for your own safety and decisions, including who you meet and where.
5. Plans, costs and cancelling
Hosts choose who joins and may decline or remove anyone, for any reason that isn't discriminatory or abusive.
Each plan says how costs work: everyone pays their own way ("Go Dutch"), costs are split equally, or the host
pays. Settle costs between yourselves. Overhere doesn't collect, hold or refund any money.
Plans limited to some groups (for example women-only) are meant for people in that group. The face check
doesn't confirm gender, so hosts decide who they accept.
If plans change, hosts should update or cancel them in the app so members are told.
6. What you post
You own what you write on Overhere: your profile, plans, notes and messages. You let us store it, show it to the
people it's meant for, and use it to run and improve the app. You're responsible for it, and you confirm you have
the right to post it. Messages you sent in group chats stay after you leave or delete your account, without your
name, so the conversation still makes sense for the others.
Don't post anything that belongs to someone else unless you have the right to, such as copied text, lyrics or
artwork. To report copyright infringement, see our copyright policy. We remove
infringing content when we get a valid notice, and we close the accounts of repeat infringers.
7. Reports and enforcement
You can report a person or a message, and block anyone, from inside the app. Reports are confidential: the person
isn't told who reported them. We look at reports and may:
remove plans, messages or profile details that break these rules;
warn someone, limit what they can do, or suspend or delete their account;
share information with the police or authorities when the law requires it, or to protect someone from serious
harm.
To complain about content or about a decision we made, email us (see section 11). We aim to
reply within 24 hours and to resolve complaints within 15 days.
8. The beta
Overhere is an early test, open across India. Features may change, break or be removed, and we may reset or remove
sample content. The app is free: we don't sell anything in it. Your feedback helps decide what we build next.
9. Our responsibility
We work to keep Overhere safe and running, but we provide it "as is", without guarantees that it will always be
available, error-free, or that everyone on it is who they say they are. We aren't responsible for what users say or
do, on the app or when they meet, or for plans, venues, costs or events arranged between users. As far as the law
allows, we aren't liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses. Nothing here limits responsibility that the law
doesn't allow us to limit.
10. Leaving or being removed
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete my account. We may suspend or delete
an account that breaks these terms or the community guidelines, puts others at risk, or where the law requires it.
11. Changes, law and contact
If we change these terms, we update the date at the top, and we'll tell you in the app before a significant change
applies to you. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
